3) Connect the 4-pin end of the flat cable, smaller phone jack end at the base of the Autostar..
1) Connect the serial interface adapter (DB-9) as D in illustration to the RS232 port on a PC. 2) Connect the 6-pin end of the flat cable, larger phone jack end to the serial interface adapter.
Please make sure the telescope and computer are both powered OFF before you make the connection.

Note: Connection to the telescope is required for updating the Autostar.
Apply power to the telescope and computer, then complete basic Autostar initialization as detailed in the Autostar instruction manual.
4) Connect the Autostar coil cord between the HBX port, A, on the telescope computer control panel and the coil cord connector port on Autostar.
