Another thanks for the wonderful performers who made the evening memorable - Brett Kissel, Nakita Kohan, Ryan D. I thought we were just going fishing ...hunting, curling, across the street? I know the top and bottom are just straight lines, but what about the sides?
Nobody is more delighted than I am to see our athletes earning (not just "winning") medals at the Olympics - but I fail to see why we aren't celebrating excellence (i.e.
lifetime personal bests, extraordinary efforts in teamwork) - the very excellence that - from time to time - results in Top 3 (or Top 10 or whatever) placings.
I know that being on the podium is an ultimate goal for a select few - but I believe that achieving excellence is a greater goal for a nation - a nat.
My belief - in all aspects of life / love / family / business - is that the pursuit of excellence will give us a greater nation of empowered people - SOME of whom are rewarded - appropriately - with medals for top placing finishes. The goal is excellence - the result is achievement.
It's just over that hill and around the bend in the road. Shouldn't we put the beer in the trunk instead of up front? C.'s own Dean Brody and Alberta native Brett Kissel tying for top honours with five nominations apiece.
The nominations for this year's Canadian Country Music Association Awards were announced today, with B. Born on 1st July, 1957 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada, he is famous for Judge on Canadian reality show Dragon's Den. Failing to "win" a medal is not failure - failing to pursue excellence - is my concern. The pursuit of medals - for the sake of medals - is thus misguided. Come to think of it, cancel that beer, I'll have a wine spritzer. behind Tux N Tulle Beauty Bar - a glam squad on wheels offering hair and makeup services for weddings, grads, bachelorette parties, birthday parties and special events.
